Former Arizona Congressman J.D. Hayworth is interviewed in this video from WSB TV in Atlanta. In describing the porous border situation, he says, “We have left the backdoor to the United States open. And we have to understand that there are people that definitely mean to do us harm who have crossed that border.”
As bad as the problem with illegal aliens coming in from Mexico is, another, equally significant threat is from OTMs, Other Than Mexicans. In one federal detention center near Phoenix, WSB shows documentation that there were, at the time they visited, inmates being detained from Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Sudan and Yemen.
One rancher interviewed shows the reporter a Muslim prayer rug he found on his ranch.
Hayworth wraps up the video saying “If we learned nothing from 9/11, certainly we should have learned that borders are important.”
